Terms of Use
Review draft — not effective or approved for publication
Prepared October 26, 2026. Effective date pending owner approval. Version 2026-10-26-review.
Unconfirmed details and safeguards are flagged below. This draft does not change existing members’ agreements.
1. Status, operator, and agreement
These Terms of Use are a complete review draft for NVL Autism Network at nvlautismnetwork.com, prepared October 26, 2026, version 2026-10-26-review. Effective date: not yet established. They are not adopted, do not retroactively alter existing agreements, and require owner approval and legal review before being made effective. The website identifies NVL Therapeutics as its organization; the full legal entity, address, and legal contact remain unconfirmed.
Once adopted through an appropriate notice and acceptance process, these Terms would govern use of public educational content and member services, together with the Privacy Policy. Research authorization and optional marketing choices are separate from membership acceptance.
2. Accounts and eligibility
Use accurate registration information, protect your credentials, and do not impersonate another person or allow unauthorized access to your account. Use a display name that does not expose unnecessary personal information. You are responsible for activity you authorize through your account and should report suspected misuse through a verified operator contact once provided.
My Progress is intended as a caregiver-controlled tool, not a child-facing account. Only supply child or family information you are legally authorized to provide. Minimum account age, geographic availability, caregiver authority requirements, and any legally required parental-consent process remain decisions for owner and legal review; no age verification or parental-consent workflow is currently verified. Do not represent that the service has verified your authority.
3. Founding Member access and billing
Become a Founding Member — Free Access Through November 6, 2026. No credit card required. No automatic charges.
Billing is not connected. Creating a member account does not start a paid subscription or authorize a charge. The promotion does not promise lifetime free access. No automatic charge or automatic loss of access is implemented solely because November 6, 2026 passes. Any future paid offer, price, billing terms, renewal rules, cancellation process, and affirmative enrollment would need to be explained separately and approved before activation. No payment processor or recurring billing is activated by these Terms.
Membership is separate from the NVL Shop and does not include or require a product purchase. References elsewhere on the site to a planned $9.99 monthly membership do not mean billing is live or that you have agreed to pay. Future pricing and availability must be confirmed before a paid offer is made.
4. Education, not medical care
NVL Autism Network provides education and community support, not medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, emergency monitoring, or a clinical record system. Research summaries, member experiences, product discussions, and caregiver observations do not establish that a product or practice treats, cures, or reverses autism or any condition. Consult a qualified professional about health decisions; do not delay appropriate care because of website content.
The platform is not an emergency service. If someone is in immediate danger, contact appropriate local emergency services. NVL does not guarantee monitoring of messages or journals or a response to urgent concerns.
5. Community conduct and acceptable use
Be respectful. Do not harass, threaten, discriminate, impersonate, spam, exploit a child, or post unlawful content. Do not publish another person’s private information without authority. Do not use the service to evade blocks, obtain hidden profiles, retrieve another account’s caregiver records, misuse moderation privileges, attack the service, or bypass authentication or access controls.
Do not upload malicious files or content you do not have rights to share. Avoid unsupported health claims and unsolicited promotional messages. Use reporting for genuine concerns rather than false accusations. Respect group rules and understand that discussion audiences differ by group visibility and membership.
6. Your content and shared copies
You remain responsible for the content you enter and the authority needed to provide it. The service must store, transmit, and display that content to the audience permitted by the feature you choose, and process it for reporting and administration as described in the Privacy Policy. This draft does not authorize selling caregiver data or using it for research or advertising. The exact content-permission terms require legal review before adoption.
My Progress records are owner-scoped under current member access rules. They are not automatically community posts. If you copy private information into a post, message, profile, or attachment, permitted recipients may see and retain it. Recipients’ screenshots and external copies cannot be recalled by NVL. Private access is not a promise of end-to-end encryption or exclusion of infrastructure operators.
7. Messages, blocking, and moderation
The messaging interface does not automatically share account email addresses, phone numbers, or member numbers. You may voluntarily share your own contact information, but remain responsible for that disclosure. Do not pressure another member to share private information.
Conversation participants can read their messages. Authorized administrators and moderators may read individual messages associated with open or reviewing reports. The review screen requires a reason and records access; the present database policy can permit eligible reported-message reads outside that logged screen, so universal logging is not yet guaranteed. Operational service privileges and database operators are outside ordinary member access rules.
You can block and unblock members. Blocking affects member discovery and conversation-start controls, but does not erase earlier conversations or prevent outside contact. Complete enforcement across all direct access paths remains under review. Report inappropriate messages or community content using available controls. No guaranteed response time is established.
Moderators may hide reported messages or other inappropriate content and administrators can change account status under server-enforced role checks. Hiding or removing a message changes its status and masks linked notification previews; it is not necessarily permanent erasure of stored content or prior copies. Moderation, account-review, notice, and appeal procedures require owner confirmation before adoption.
8. Research and optional communications
Using the service or accepting Terms does not authorize research use of child or caregiver records. No research data-sharing feature is activated. Any future research participation must use a separate, specific, informed, optional and revocable authorization with an appropriate legal basis, describing recipients, use, duration, withdrawal, and limits for data already lawfully used.
Get NVL Updates is an email-only signup and does not create membership. Marketing permission must not be bundled with required Terms acceptance or preselected research consent. Mailing delivery, unsubscribe handling, and marketing-consent records require operational verification.
9. External content, intellectual property, and shop
Public educational resources may link to research publications, external providers, and videos. External services control their own content and privacy practices. A link or listing is not a guarantee of suitability or an endorsement of treatment outcomes. Confirm professional qualifications independently.
Respect NVL branding, website materials, and third-party intellectual property. These Terms do not transfer ownership of site materials or give permission to reproduce protected content beyond permission or applicable law. Product availability, purchases, returns, shipping, and any product-specific terms require separate confirmed disclosures; this draft does not invent shop fulfillment policies.
10. Availability, security, and service changes
Features may change, be temporarily unavailable, or remain in development. The separate Journal screen is currently marked as in development; My Progress observation tools are available. Do not rely on the platform as the sole copy of important records. No availability, recovery, backup completeness, data-location, or clinical-safety guarantee has been approved.
Authentication and access policies reduce unauthorized member access, but cannot eliminate security risks. No HIPAA compliance, regulatory certification, or end-to-end encryption claim is made. Any legal warranty exclusions, liability limits, indemnity terms, or mandatory consumer protections must be reviewed for the operator and applicable jurisdiction; they are not invented in this draft.
11. Ending use, deletion, and changes to Terms
You may stop using the site and sign out. Individual My Progress records can be deleted through available controls, but no account-wide self-service deletion or export process is verified. Retention periods and a request contact remain unconfirmed. Account restriction or message removal is not a promise that all stored records, audit logs, backups, or recipient copies are erased.
Material changes should be accompanied by appropriate notice and reacceptance where required. Existing members are not required to accept these review drafts, and no draft reacceptance process is activated. The existing registration checkbox and version metadata do not yet demonstrate reliable secure Terms-version/timestamp recording; that gap must be addressed separately before relying on these Terms as an adopted agreement.
12. Legal review and contact information outstanding
Before adoption, the operator must supply its verified full legal name, business address, privacy and legal contact, effective date, eligibility rules, geographic scope, retention schedule, request process, incident-response and moderation procedures, and optional marketing handling. Applicable law, dispute venue, consumer rights, any enforceable liability terms, and children’s-data requirements require qualified legal review. No arbitration clause, governing jurisdiction, or waiver of statutory rights is assumed.
These drafts describe verified app controls and explicitly identify limitations; they are not legal advice or a compliance certification. Read the accompanying Privacy Policy for the data inventory and unresolved privacy safeguards. Do not publish until the owner expressly approves the final documents and pending website changes.
